Who should pick v0 and stop reading
VibeDream vs v0 comes down to how much of the stack you want to deal with. Pick v0 if you are a front-end developer: it writes Next.js apps with Tailwind and shadcn/ui, lets you edit visually in Design Mode, syncs with GitHub and deploys to Vercel, and for data you connect your own APIs or database. Pick VibeDream if you want the complete app without wiring a backend: it writes React + FastAPI apps with the Python backend in the same project, builds Phaser games, and includes hosting and your own domain.
Checked: Oct 2026. v0 facts come from v0.app/pricing and v0's docs. VibeDream facts come from our pricing page and getting started guide.
Where did the booking go
Try one prompt on both: "A booking page for my dog grooming studio with services, prices and a booking form." On v0 you will get a polished interface quickly and then decide where the bookings are stored. On VibeDream the FastAPI backend is written alongside the page, and you can test the form in the live preview.
Then try something v0 is not aimed at: "A space shooter game where I dodge asteroids and collect stars for points." VibeDream builds it with Phaser, playable in the preview on desktop or phone.
For each, note minutes to a working preview, follow-ups needed and what it cost. Then check the booking form end to end: submit a test booking, reload the page and see where that booking went. On v0, the answer depends on the backend you connected. On VibeDream, it is in the app's own FastAPI backend, which you can read in the Code tab and change by chatting if you want bookings stored differently.
v0's home ground
This is v0's home ground. Design Mode lets you adjust layouts visually, and the code uses components many React developers already know. If a design team will review every change, the pull request flow is a real advantage.
VibeDream's front end is React, and you shape it by chatting, such as "make the header darker" or "add a pricing section", or by attaching a screenshot of a design you like. Templates such as the Aesthetic Landing Page give a polished starting point. For pixel-level visual editing, v0's Design Mode is the stronger tool.
The backend gap
v0's docs describe connecting a backend to build data-driven apps, using your own APIs, databases and components. That suits teams with existing services. For a solo builder starting from nothing, it means choosing and paying for a database provider before the booking form does anything.
VibeDream apps include a FastAPI backend in Python, written as part of the project. The Aesthetic Waitlist template saves signups automatically, and file storage for uploads comes with your plan. One-tap login and database work today, so an app where users need accounts takes a tap on VibeDream. One-tap payments are coming soon.
Vercel projects or one Put it online button
v0 deploys to Vercel. Domains, environment variables and limits are managed in the Vercel project, under Vercel's plans.
On VibeDream, tap Put it online, pick a vibedreams.ai name, and press the button for 5 credits. It usually takes 1 to 3 minutes and HTTPS is set up for you. The site stays on that version until you press Update it. For your own domain, add a TXT and a CNAME record at your registrar and HTTPS turns on automatically. The deployment guide shows every step.
Both give you the code. v0 syncs with GitHub. VibeDream has a Code tab, Export to ZIP, and GitHub sync.
Per user and per token, or per account
VibeDream:
- All Access Mini: $49 a month or $297 a year, 60 credits, 3 active projects, 25GB storage.
- All Access: $97 a month or $497 a year, 150 credits, 5 active projects, 1TB storage.
- No free plan. Hosting and your own domain included; each publish costs 5 credits.
v0:
- Free: $0, 7 messages a day.
- Plus: $30 per user a month, with $30 of monthly credits per user and $2 of daily credits on login.
- Business: $100 per user a month, training opt-out by default.
- Model usage is billed at per-model token rates, for example v0 Pro at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output.
- Hosting on Vercel is billed separately.
v0 has a free plan and a lower entry price for one person. For a team, multiply Plus by the number of people. VibeDream folds hosting, storage and your own domain into one account's plan, which matters most when you are publishing a finished site rather than handing code to developers.
Edits away from a desk
VibeDream works in a phone browser: the Chat and Preview tabs at the top switch between talking to the AI and trying your app, and you can record a voice note instead of typing. That is handy for fixing a line of copy or trying a game idea away from a desk.
Fixing errors
On VibeDream, paste the error into the chat and the AI fixes it, and your live site keeps the last published version until you press Update it. On v0, fixes happen in the chat too, while deploy and hosting issues are handled in your Vercel project. If you get stuck on VibeDream, a real person answers through support or hello@vibedream.ai.
Pull requests or an Update it button
Teams care about this more than solo builders do. v0 can deploy straight to production or open a pull request so someone reviews the change first. That fits teams who already work in GitHub and want every change checked by a person.
VibeDream keeps it simpler. Changes show up in the live preview first, and the published site stays on its current version until you press Update it, so you can click through changes on desktop and phone before anyone sees them. If you work with a developer, sync the project to GitHub and they can review the code there.
Who fits which, in short
v0 fits people who already build with Next.js on Vercel, want visual editing and interface code a team will review, have a backend to connect, or want a free plan to start. VibeDream fits people who want the front end and backend written together, want games, want hosting and a domain in the plan, or like describing ideas by voice note or screenshot. If you get stuck on VibeDream, a real person answers through support.
v0 for the page, VibeDream for the app
They can work together. Some people design a landing page in v0 and build the app behind it in VibeDream, or start in VibeDream and sync to GitHub to keep working with other tools. Since both give you the code, you can change your mind later without starting over.
