VibeDream vs Bubble

An honest comparison to help you choose the right tool for your project.

About Bubble

Bubble is a visual no-code platform where you design pages, data types and workflows in its editor, with hosting, a built-in database and native mobile publishing on paid plans. Its AI agent can generate a first version of an app from a prompt for you to refine in the editor.

Bubble

  • Apps are built and run inside Bubble rather than exported as a codebase
  • A live version and custom domain need Starter, $59 a month billed yearly
  • Running costs scale with workload units as your app does more work
  • Complex apps mean learning data types, privacy rules and workflows in the editor

The Verdict

For a beginner who wants a working web app or game this week, VibeDream is the faster and simpler choice. The caveat is a big one: if you need a native app in the App Store or Google Play, or a product with layered permission rules and multi-step workflows today, Bubble is the stronger tool and worth its learning curve.

Describing an app or assembling one

VibeDream vs Bubble is a choice between describing an app and assembling one. Pick VibeDream if you want a first version within minutes: you describe it by typing, recording a voice note or attaching a screenshot, and it writes a React + FastAPI web app or a Phaser game with a live preview and code you can take. Pick Bubble if you need native mobile apps or fine control over complex logic. You lay out pages, define data types and privacy rules, and build workflows in its editor, with an AI agent to draft the first version.

Checked Oct 2026. Bubble facts come from bubble.io/pricing and Bubble's description of its AI agent. VibeDream facts come from our pricing page and getting started guide.

A canvas or a chat

On Bubble you work in a canvas. Even with the AI draft, you will spend time learning where elements live, how data types relate and how a workflow is put together. Once you know it, you can control every detail of a complex app.

On VibeDream you work in a chat next to a live preview. Ask for changes the way you would tell a friend: "add a contact page", "make the header darker", "show a thank you message after the form". If something breaks, paste the error into the chat and the AI fixes it.

A fair test: the same small app on both, such as a booking page for a dog grooming studio with services, prices and a booking form. Note how long until you have something you could show a customer. Then ask for a change a customer might request, like a second location with its own opening hours. On Bubble you add a data type and update the workflows. On VibeDream you describe the change and check the preview.

Where Bubble's workflows win

Bubble includes its own database and workflow engine. Logic and data are configured visually, and the server work your app does is metered in workload units: 50K a month on Free, 175K on Starter, 250K on Growth and 500K on Team.

VibeDream apps include a FastAPI backend in Python, written into the project, and templates such as the Aesthetic Waitlist save signups automatically. File storage comes with your plan, 25GB on All Access Mini and 1TB on All Access. One-tap login and database work today, and one-tap payments are coming soon. For complex permission rules and multi-step workflows right now, Bubble is the more complete tool, and we would not pretend otherwise.

App Store apps

Bubble's pricing lists a native mobile editor, mobile debugger and on-device testing on Free, and mobile build submissions, live app versions and over-the-air updates on paid plans. If you need an app in the Apple App Store or Google Play, Bubble does that and VibeDream does not.

VibeDream apps run on the web and work on phones. Games are built to play on phones and computers, and anyone can open them from a link.

Who owns the finished app

Bubble hosts your app. A live app and custom domain start on Starter at $59 a month billed yearly. The app lives in Bubble's editor and runs on Bubble; Bubble describes its AI output as an app you open and change in the editor, not a codebase to hand off.

VibeDream hosts your app too. Tap Put it online, pick a vibedreams.ai name, press the button for 5 credits, and it is usually live in 1 to 3 minutes with HTTPS. Your own domain needs a TXT and a CNAME record, with HTTPS switched on automatically, on both plans. The code is a normal React + FastAPI project in the Code tab, with ZIP export and GitHub sync, so you can host it anywhere you like. The deployment guide covers each step.

What a live app on your domain costs

VibeDream:

  • All Access Mini: $49 a month or $297 a year, 60 credits, 3 active projects, 25GB storage.
  • All Access: $97 a month or $497 a year, 150 credits, 5 active projects, 1TB storage.
  • No free plan. Hosting, your own domain and the vibedreams.ai address included; 5 credits per publish.

Bubble, billed yearly:

  • Free: $0, development version only.
  • Starter: $59 a month, live app, custom domain, 175K workload units.
  • Growth: $209 a month, 2 editors. Team: $549 a month, 5 editors.

Bubble's free plan lets you learn before paying, which VibeDream does not offer. For a live app on your own domain, VibeDream's entry plan costs less than Bubble Starter, and Bubble's running cost grows with workload units as traffic grows.

Minutes against weeks

The gap here is large for beginners. With VibeDream, a first version of a simple app or game is usually ready within a few minutes, and bigger ideas take a few more messages. The skill you need is describing what you want clearly.

With Bubble, the AI agent gives you a draft quickly too, but making it yours means learning the editor: how pages hold elements, how data types relate, how workflows run, and how privacy rules keep data safe. Bubble has extensive learning material and a big community, and people who invest that time can build very complex products.

Editors or projects

Bubble's plans count app editors: 1 on Free and Starter, 2 on Growth and 5 on Team, with more workload units at each step. Agencies and product teams often pick a tier by how many people need to edit.

VibeDream's plans count active projects: up to 3 on All Access Mini and up to 5 on All Access. If you are a solo creator running a few sites or games, that is usually the number that matters.

Who should stay on Bubble

Stay on Bubble, or start there, if you need an App Store or Google Play listing, if your app has many user roles with different permissions, or if you rely on its plugin ecosystem and the experts who know it. Its free plan is also the cheaper way to learn. Everyone else making a website, a small web app or a game will usually get further, sooner, by describing it. If you get stuck on VibeDream, a real person answers through support.

Moving from Bubble to VibeDream

There is no automatic import, because Bubble apps live in Bubble's editor. The practical route is to export your data from Bubble, then describe each page in a new VibeDream project and attach screenshots of the original screens. The AI rebuilds them page by page. Keep the Bubble app live until the new one is ready, then point your domain at VibeDream with the TXT and CNAME records. Move the data last. Once the new pages work with test data, import the real records, check a few by hand, and only then switch the domain. If the app has logins, plan how users will reset their passwords on the new site, because passwords do not move between platforms.
