Where your users are decides it
Bubble vs FlutterFlow comes down to where your users are. If they are mostly on the web, pick Bubble: it gives you a visual editor, its own database, workflows and hosting in one product, and now publishes native mobile apps too. If they are mostly on phones, pick FlutterFlow: it builds Flutter apps for phones, the web and desktop, connects to backends such as Firebase and Supabase, and lets paid plans download the code and deploy to app stores in one click.
Checked Oct 2026. Bubble prices come from bubble.io/pricing, which lists plans billed yearly. FlutterFlow prices come from flutterflow.io/pricing, which lists monthly prices and says yearly billing saves about 25 percent.

Which one feels at home on a phone
FlutterFlow is built on Flutter, Google's toolkit for apps on many platforms, so mobile is its home ground. The Basic plan lists one-click app store deployment. Because you can download the code, a developer can keep working on the app in a normal Flutter project if you outgrow the visual editor.
Bubble's mobile support is newer. Free includes the native mobile editor and on-device testing, and paid plans include a set number of build submissions per month and live app versions. If you want one product for a web app and its companion mobile app, Bubble keeps both in one place.
Either way, publishing to the Apple App Store and Google Play needs your own developer accounts and passing each store's review.
Built-in backend or bring your own
Bubble includes the backend. Data types, privacy rules and workflows live in the same editor as the pages, and Bubble's servers run them, metered in workload units. That is simpler for a solo founder.
FlutterFlow's docs list integrations for Firebase and Supabase, along with categories for databases, authentication, storage and payments. You create the backend account, and FlutterFlow connects to it. That gives you more choice and one more bill.
Who can take the code away
This is the clearest difference. FlutterFlow paid plans include code download, so the app is not trapped in the builder. Bubble apps run on Bubble, and Bubble describes its AI output as an app in the visual editor, not a codebase you hand off. If you think a development team will take over one day, FlutterFlow makes that easier.
Learning curve
Both take real time to learn. Bubble asks you to learn its data model and workflow editor. FlutterFlow asks you to learn layouts, widgets and state in a Flutter-shaped way, and a little knowledge of how mobile apps are structured helps. Both offer AI help: Bubble's agent drafts a first version from a prompt, and FlutterFlow plans include AI requests, from 5 in total on Free to 500 a month on Business.
What a three-person team pays
Bubble prices by plan and counts app editors: 1 on Free, 2 on Growth and 5 on Team. A third editor means Team, $549 a month billed yearly, which also brings 500K workload units.
FlutterFlow prices by seat. Growth covers two seats at $80 plus $55. A third person means Business: $150 for the first seat and $85 for each of the next two, $320 a month before the yearly discount, with 500 AI requests a month. For a small team that mostly needs extra editors rather than server capacity, FlutterFlow is the cheaper of the two, as long as you also budget for the Firebase or Supabase bill.
On the web side, Bubble needs Starter for a live app and custom domain, and FlutterFlow's Basic adds web publishing on your own domain.
On both, keep one person as the owner of the project and of the developer accounts, and add others as editors. Store and backend accounts tend to outlive the people who set them up.
The fitness tracker test
Try the same app in both: a small fitness tracker where users sign up, log workouts, see a weekly chart and get a reminder. Build the phone version first. Note how long it takes to see it on a real device, how hard the chart was, and how the data and login were set up. Then publish the web version and compare. Finally, change one thing in the data model, such as adding a workout type, and see how much of the app you have to touch. That small change shows how each tool copes when the app grows, which matters more than how fast the first screen appears.
Four products, four winners
- A marketplace or SaaS people use at a desk. Bubble, with backend, database and hosting in one place.
- A habit or fitness app that lives on the home screen. FlutterFlow, built on Flutter with one-click store deployment.
- A web app plus a companion phone app, built solo. Bubble, so both stay in one editor.
- An app a developer team will take over within a year. FlutterFlow, because paid plans download the code.
If you only need a web app
If you do not need a store app and do not want to learn a visual editor, VibeDream is a lighter path. Describe the web app or game you want by typing, recording a voice note or attaching a screenshot, and a live preview appears in seconds. Apps are React + FastAPI and work in phone browsers, and games are Phaser, made to play on phones. VibeDream does not build native app-store apps.
Hosting is built in. Press Put it online, pick a vibedreams.ai name, and it is live in a few minutes with HTTPS, at 5 credits per update. Your own domain takes a TXT and a CNAME record, as the deployment guide shows. The code is yours through the Code tab, ZIP export and GitHub sync.
VibeDream's one-tap payments are coming soon, and there is no free plan; plans start at $49 a month on the pricing page. The getting started guide shows the whole flow.
